Crowns
A crown covers a tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength when it has become damaged and a filling will not solve the problem. Crowns allow you to keep the tooth function and protect it from fracturing.
A crown may be needed in the following situations:
- Cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth left
- Be used to cover a dental implant
- Provides an effective way to cover teeth that are misshapen or discolored
- Hold a bridge in place
- Protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that is already broken
